Concept :

Tsunahachi is a traditional tempura restaurant that has maintained the same passion and dedication to taste and quality since it was founded more than 90 years ago. Tsunahachi Solamachi offers authentic Edo-mae tempura, inheriting the soul of the original restaurant in Shinjuku, in the concept of “New Shita-machi Style.”

Key Points :

Conveniently located in the Solamachi shopping district, it is perfect for visitors to Tokyo Sky Tree. Diners are invited to enjoy tempura in a cozy atmosphere at a reasonable price, with counter seating allowing guests to see the hot and airy tempura cooked right before their eyes. They also have also outlets in Shinjuku’s Keio department store and Opera City, allowing guests to enjoy tempura right after shopping or seeing a theater performance.

Recommended Dishes :

The Sazanami Set is a Tsunahachi tempura staple that includes Japanese tiger prawns, squid and eel, as well as seasonal vegetables (¥3,672). On the a la carte menu, the clams fried in the shells (¥1,620) are extremely popular. Tsunahachi Pure Sake (¥1,404/300ml) is the perfect match for the food, as is the selection of beer, wine and spirits.
