Concept :Roppongi’s teppanyaki restaurants may have a reputation for being exclusive and overly expensive, but ROPPONGI P.T.T. has spent 34 years building a loyal clientele of expats and Japanese alike thanks to its quality teppanyaki and homey atmosphere in the heart of the city.
Key Points :Brick walls, wood planks and antique furniture offer a rustic feel in creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere where customers are comfortable to linger for hours. The entire menu is a la carte, meaning diners can create their own unique courses with drinks for about ¥10,000; an excellent price for the value in Roppongi.
Recommended Dishes :Recommendations include the tenderloin beef steak (100g/¥4,300), a tender pork steak from Iwate Prefecture (¥2,000) and short-neck clams steamed in white wine (¥1,200). Vegetarian options include a tofu steak (¥900) along with a wide variety of fresh and healthy vegetables. Yakisoba, okonomiyaki and garlic rice (¥1,000~¥2,000) are also popular, as are succulent homemade dumplings for ¥500. Wine served by the glass (¥700) or bottle (¥4,000~), German beer on tap and a variety of whiskey, sake and shochu, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, are the perfect way to complete the meal.
