Concept :
When he was younger, chef Yasuhiro Kuroiwa was receiving gifts and souvenirs from his uncle who was a chef working on a cruise ship named Asuka that was sailing around Europe. These gifts from abroad became a fascination for the chef and sparked his interest for both foreign food and foreign culture. Later he spent over 2 years in France learning about French cuisine notably in Paris at the two Michelin-starred, Vivarois and in Bourgogne at the single Michelin-starred Les Millesimes. When Yasuhiro Kuroiwa was on cleaning duty, one of his mentors used to call him Mr. Sympa, which can be translated to Mr. Likeable or Mister Pleasant. That is how he decided to name the restaurant.Key Points :
If you have ever visited Paris and enjoyed a meal in a casual restaurant filled with locals, you will definitely recognize the special French atmosphere entering Sympathique. The restaurant is a perfect mix between casual and authenticity. The meals are very reasonable and you will be able to enjoy rich portions just like in an authentic French bistro. It is possible to reserve the entire restaurant (minimum 12 people) using the ¥2,750 and ¥3,300 lunch courses or the ¥5,830, ¥6,930 dinner courses.

The restaurant often has gibier wild game, such as pigeon and young wild boar. Kuroiwa has curated for his diners a selection exclusively of French wine from the best wineries.-
