Concept :

Sawa, a teppanyaki restaurant located in the heart of Akasaka, offers a temporary refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. A comforting space to reminisce on the good old days of Japan, Sawa sets itself apart in more ways than one. The décor is a nostalgic blend of East and West bathed in perfect lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Points :

Particular attention is paid to the quality of the dishes that are created using the finest seasonal ingredients, including the highest-grade kurogewagyu, rice from Niigata Prefecture and Awajishima onions. To view the chef in action as she prepares the food, a seat at the counter is perfect, while tables or a private room for up to six people offer a perfect setting to relax with friends, a date or conduct a business meal.

Recommended Dishes :

Recommendations include grilled beef tendon, seasoned cod roe with buttered mashed potatoes and grilled cheese millefeuille (¥800~). The ¥4,300 Sawa Course includes foie gras with red wine sauce, yakisoba, dessert and more. For special occasions, a ¥13,000 course is also available. Lastly, there is a wide selection of shochu, sake, wine and cocktails to complement the meal. Sawa is perfect for a uniquely Japanese experience that will leave guests feeling that “this is Japan.”
