Concept :

Azabu Amishiro is a traditional Japanese restaurant with 8 counter seats, several private rooms and a beautiful view of the adjacent Amishiro Park. The restaurant’s interior features traditional sliding doors and warm-toned private rooms that create a homey atmosphere to enjoy traditional Japanese home-cooking originating from Kyoto — Obanzai. This style of cooking consists of several small-portioned, seasonal vegetable and seafood dishes. It’s representative of the home-cooked meals of a rustic traditional ryokan — the true soul food of Japan.

Key Points :

The restaurant features heartwarming Obanzai made with seasonal vegetables sourced from all over Japan and highlights the specialties of each prefecture. For example, the delicious Nanko umeboshi which is carefully selected and sourced from Wakayama prefectures. Diners can also purchase the umeboshi (pickled plum) and other products as souvenirs to be enjoyed at home with friends and family.

Recommended Dishes :

The menu features a daily special meal set that constantly changes, depending on the season and availability of ingredients. Other recommendations include the freshly caught local fish (¥1,800) and wagyu beef (¥2,200) grilled over individual charcoal earthenware grills from Wakayama prefecture, and the freshly prepared rice cooked in a traditional earthenware rice pot. A very traditional way to end a homey Japanese meal. Amishiro also offers local sakes from throughout Japan, and a unique party reservation system where diners can book a private room and indulge in all-you-can-drink self-service, with the option of bringing their own food or ordering from Amisihro’s abundant in-house menu. The counter bar also invites solo diners to enjoy individually portioned charcoal grill and a drink.

Please note that drink service for the private rooms are self-service only, unless otherwise stated when the reservation is made.
