Concept :

In 1988, RESTAURANT SANT PAU was opened in Sant Pol de Mar, a small fisherman town in the center of Catalunya, north of Barcelona, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and mountains. They won a Michelin star just two-and-a-half years after they opened, 2 stars in 1996 and 3 stars in 2006. They are well known as one of the top restaurants of the world, visited by gourmets from not only Spain, but also from all over the world. The Tokyo branch was opened in 2004 as their only overseas branch; it has also won Michelin stars since the Michelin Guide Tokyo launched in 2008.

Key Points :

In Sant Pol de Mar, various seafood and food from the mountains are available and they use plenty of seasonal vegetables and fruits for their traditional fish and meat dishes. The world's first Michelin 7-starred (3 stars in 1 restaurant and 2 stars in 2 restaurants) female chef Carme Ruscalleda creates artistic dishes with free ideas from Catalonia, Spain, well known for its gastronomy. Using key ingredients imported from Spain, they offer real Sant Pau cuisine by creating delicate and flavorful dishes.

Recommended Dishes :

Menú Degustació (10 dishes/¥24,000) changes every season, allowing diners to feel the essence of the restaurant. Sant Pau also offers a light course; Menú Curt (6 dishes/¥15,000) and Menú Gastronómic (8 dishes/¥19,000). They stock more than 1500 kinds of wine in the wine cellar including wines from all over Spain and even rare wines that diners can taste only at this restaurant in Japan. Wine pairings are recommended to enjoy both delicious dishes and wine carefully selected by the sommelier. For lunch, the standard course is Menú Llevant (7 dishes/¥9,500) and a short course only for weekdays; Menú Garví (6 dishes/¥7,000) and Menú Migjorn (9 dishes/¥13,000) are available. Please enjoy the gastronomic harmony of Catalan tradition with Japanese ingredients interwoven into the ever-changing menu.
