コンセプト :KATSUKICHI is a long-established tonkatsu pork cutlet restaurant founded 60 years ago in Nihonbashi, and today runs 4 locations in Hibiya, Marunouchi and Shibuya and Nihonbashi. In September 2018, KATSUKICHI reopened their fourth branch in Nihonbashi. Their new branch is located in the annex of Takashimaya department store; an Important Cultural Property. The liberal use of wood, including aged pillars and beams and thick tables of solid zelkova, and various antiques creates an atmosphere of an old Japanese home. They have a collection of Imari lacquerware sobachoko (cups for soba dipping sauce).
キーポイント :KATSUKICHI chefs pick out the highest-quality pork every day, choosing from various domestic brands. They deep-fry the breaded cutlets slowly and at low temperature to bring out the full flavor in the light and crispy tonkatsu. Tonkatsu dishes are served with farm-to-table vegetables, shiso rice and miso soup, all of which are chemical-free, allowing the true flavors to shine.
お勧め料理 :Nihonbashi Combo that includes deep-fried fresh ocean tiger prawn and extra deluxe pork fillet cutlet (¥3,980) is recommended. Various courses are ideal for parties (except Nihonbashi store), with a party course (¥4,400~) offering appetizers and various deep-fried dishes such as cutlets, special fillet and shellfish. Tonkatsu is a masterpiece of Japanese food and KATSUKICHI is the perfect place for this must-try dish.
