KAKISHIN opened on June 1 and is just steps away from Roppongi crossing. Owner Hamao-san, whose family has a restaurant history of almost 100 years, has brought that spirit and knowledge to Tokyo. To ensure the best product, the oysters are sourced daily directly from Nomishima Island in Hiroshima, Maizuru Kyoto and Matsue Shimane, where they are known for their firmness, milky centers and rich taste.キーポイント :
In opening KAKISHIN Hamao wanted to do something to set himself apart from the others and made it a goal to become the number one oyster restaurant in town. To accomplish this, the food is delicious and the service impeccable, but the owner really adds cachet with his gregarious personality alone being a reason to visit. Courses range from the “kakifry” (deep-fried oyster) course (¥2,500) to the full nine-item course that allows for a sampling of dishes, including kakifry, oysters Bechamel, claypot oysters and more (¥10,000). A variety of a la carte items and all-you-can-drink options featuring a selection of beer, wine and sake are also available. The owner understands that not everyone can eat raw oysters and is happy to accommodate individual preferences.
