Concept :
KAKISHIN opened on June 1, 2016 and is just steps away from Roppongi crossing. Owner Hamao, whose family has a restaurant history of almost 100 years, has brought that spirit and knowledge to Tokyo. To provide the finest and freshest oysters throughout the year, the oysters are sourced daily directly from Nomishima Island in Hiroshima, Maizuru in Kyoto, and Matsue in Shimane, where they are known for their firmness, milky centers, and rich taste. In addition to oysters, KAKISHIN also serves sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and steak made with the highest quality Matsusaka beef.
Key Points :
In opening KAKISHIN Mr. Hamao set out to separate himself from other similar venues, making it his priority to become the number one oyster restaurant in town. To accomplish this, both the food and service are impeccable, but Mr. Hamao himself adds something truly unique with his gregarious outgoing personality alone being a reason to visit. The decor is wa-modern and the restaurant has table, counter and private seating available.Recommended Dishes :
The KAKISHIN Chef’s Omakase Course (¥16,500) is highly recommended, as it allows guests to enjoy all of the restaurant’s signature dishes, including fresh oysters, sashimi, and sukiyaki made with Matsusaka beef and oysters.A variety of courses are available to suit different occasions, ranging from the Oyster Course (¥6,600), which includes grilled oysters, fried oysters, oyster rice, and clear oyster soup, to a course featuring oyster hot pot with miso (¥8,800), and a premium course with oyster and Matsusaka beef hot pot with miso (¥14,300).
In addition, KAKISHIN offers an extensive à la carte menu, along with a carefully selected range of drinks including champagne, wine, and Japanese sake.
The owner understands that not everyone can eat raw oysters and is happy to accommodate individual preferences.
