コンセプト :In a renovated old geisha house, Kagurazaka Shimizu introduces guests to the charm of the Taisho Era and transports them to this romantic time thanks to its unique atmosphere. The décor, consisting of paintings, stained glass and studied lighting, pairs perfectly with the dishes that make full use of seasonal ingredients to tell a different story every time.
キーポイント :After studying in multiple restaurants, including Michelin-starred venues, the chief Takuya Shimizu, decided to open his own restaurant in 2017 in the heart of Kagurazaka. Every morning, he goes to the market to carefully choose the ingredients he will use on the same day. Thanks to this routine, Kagurazaka Shimizu offers an ever-changing menu that completely renews itself every month and puts a strong emphasis on seasonal taste by making sure to deliver each ingredient at their seasonal best.
お勧め料理 :Among the variety of dishes that can be enjoyed at the restaurant, guests can find a unique tamaji mushi (egg pudding), which expresses the transition of the passing seasons thanks to its light taste. For January, Black beans from Tamba in the Hyogo prefecture, Hokkaido’s sardines, Iwate’s duck, Ibaraki’s Hitachi beef as well as Shogoin turnip and shrimp-shaped taro from Kyoto awaits you in the newest courses of the restaurant. Those new additions are served alongside Kagurazaka Shimizu’s classics such and other assortments of exquisite meals. Dinner courses run from ¥6,800 to ¥15,000.
