Fumizen is a long-established restaurant in the New Otani Hotel serving high-quality tonkatsu (deep-fried breaded pork cutlets) and seasonal Japanese cuisine. Founded over 40 years ago, the shop has been the favorite of prime ministers and celebrities ever since, delivering bento lunch boxes to the Diet to this day.

Fumizen is known for offering reasonably priced high-grade, carefully prepared tonkatsu dishes, as well as delicate seasonal Japanese cuisine, seafood and more recently for their healthy black pork shabu-shabu served with special soba soup. Entering the shop, guests are welcomed by a beautiful typical Japanese store-front, followed by a warm and refined Japanese style interior and a 6-person private room for family and business gatherings. They offer various types of pork cutlets and fried dishes that can be enjoyed with delicious truffle salt, rock salt, tartar sauces and other sauces that enhance the flavors of each ingredient.

Recommended sets include the lunch tonkatsu sets starting from ¥1,200, the pork loin set (¥2,900), the sashimi set (¥3,500) and the fried seafood mix set (¥5,000). Recommended courses are the 8 items with all-you-can-drink course, including fried boiled fish, sashimi, udon and more from ¥5,000, and the shabu-shabu course (¥3,800) available for dinner only.
