コンセプト :DIN TAI FUNG is a popular Taiwanese dim sum restaurant chain that was named as one of the top-10 restaurants in the world by the New York Times. The first overseas branch opened in 1996 in Shinjuku and created a “xiaolongbao” boom in Japan. DIN TAI FUNG has 20 branches in Japan and is a global brand with more than 110 branches in 10 countries. One word – xiaolongbao – is all guests need at this branch of Taipei’s most-esteemed dumpling house.
キーポイント :To best enjoy these juicy pork "soup" dumplings that come served in bamboo steamers, guests should carefully scoop one onto a spoon, sprinkle a drop of vinegar soy sauce and some grated ginger on top, poke a hole in it, slurp out the broth and eat the rest.
お勧め料理 :Several types of xiaolongbao are available, including a truffle xiaolongbao (¥1,980 /4 pieces). Over 20 varieties of dim sum, noodles, appetizers and soups are offered and an extensive selection of drinks is available, including wine and Shaoxing. The Ginza, Ebisu and Yokohama Landmark shops offer private rooms with spectacular views (~8p), and a semi-private room (~20p) at the Yaesu branch is a great options for various get-togethers. The four branches offer course menus (¥4000~¥9,000) and include the signature xiaolongbao dumplings, appetizers and main dish.
