Chiles Mexican Grill & Cantina knows real Mexican food as the owner himself is Mexican. Located just off Takeshita street in Harajuku, Chiles offers authentic and traditional flavors at reasonable prices. The Latin music and lively atmosphere of a Mexican-themed kitchen welcomes and relaxes diners. There are tables with a view of the big screen TV for dining in and watching the game, or you can get your food to go if you are in a hurry or just want to eat in the park. The friendly staff speaks Japanese, English and Spanish and all the dishes are made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. On weekdays, lunch sets start from 780 and include a drink with chips or salad. You can customize your burrito with your choice of meats and fillings or have it vegetarian. Chiles also recommends the juicy grilled steak marinated in shio-koji as a filling for your burrito (980) or tacos (850 for 2). You can wash your food down with one of the seven Mexican beers available, or enjoy a glass of Mexican wine, a margarita or other refreshing cocktail. On weekdays, all drinks are only 400 during happy hour. Chiles also serves breakfast everyday, with breakfast sets available on weekends. The average price per diner runs from about 1,500 (cash only), making Chiles an excellent place to get a taste of Mexico in Tokyo.
