Concept :

The WAKO department store’s clock tower is one of Ginza’s iconic landmarks. The WAKO Annex re-opened in September 2012 and is made up of three floors behind the main building. The first floor houses the cake and chocolate shop, where more than 30 kinds of cakes made with fresh ingredients are offered alongside chocolate, sweets and the popular ganache. The basement is home to the Gourmet Salon where specialty foods, perfect for gifts, such as delicious cookies, cured meats and soups are offered.

Key Points :

The baked sweets from the gourmet salon are very popular, with the "Fruit Royale" being the king of cakes, containing dried fruits such as oranges, plums, figs and apricots and nuts such as walnuts and pistachios and infused with a rich brandy flavor. The "Lorbeer Baum" baumkuchen has a rich, but not too sweet taste, has been a favorite since 1986. You can also choose from over 300 bottles from WAKO's wine collection to perfectly complement your selection.

Recommended Dishes :

The Tea Salon is located on the second floor and offers sun-lit, comfortable seating in a modern atmosphere and is a perfect place to relax and unwind on a trip to Ginza. The Tea Salon has fresh cakes with a drink (¥1,600) from the first floor.
