MODERN CHINESE – Famous as one of TV’s ‘Iron Chefs,’ Turandot owner and chef Yuji Wakiya creates dishes highly acclaimed by both Japanese and overseas diners alike. The menu is based on Shanghai cuisine and offerings include seasonal ingredients prepared with careful thought and attention to harmonizing the five tastes of sourness, bitterness, saltiness, sweetness and umami.

Key Points :

Sommeliers are on hand to suggest the perfect wine for the meal in an atmosphere that is a fusion of East and West and decorated with both Asian and Western antiques and art. There are 16 private rooms available for business meetings, parties or wedding receptions. For a more intimate dining experience, Turandot’s sister restaurant Wakiya is just a short walk.

Recommended Dishes :

Beginning in the morning, Turandot offers a la carte items such as spicy noodle soup to course menus in either a casual or more formal setting. Lunch courses are available from ¥4,800, while dinner courses begin at ¥9,000. Recommendations include the 9-joy assorted appetizers, bursting with color and made with a variety of items from the sea to the mountains, braised shark fin Shanghai-style and spicy stir-fried lobster.
