THE GARDEN ORIENTAL OSAKA is an Italian restaurant that opened in 2014 following renovations of an iconic historical building, the former Osaka City Consulate. Despite it’s location in the city center, it sits on a parcel of land measuring 1.3 hectares (13,000 sq. meters) and invites visitors to a very relaxing space. The Osaka City Consulate, a stunning example of modernist architecture, was built in 1959 as the city council hall. It was a masterpiece by Kenzo Takekoshi, who gained fame in Western Japan’s architectural history for his work on the designs of the Osaka Stock Exchange and Osaka Nogaku Hall. THE GARDEN ORIENTAL OSAKA offers diners original course menus with the very best of local ingredients and views of the beautiful garden that changes with the season.Key Points :
Overlooking the spacious garden located next to Sakuranomiya Park, guests can enjoy seasonal views of the Okawa River, cherry trees at the mint and funatogyo (procession of religious boats) during the Tenjin Festival.
