Concept :

Hyakurakuso is a luxurious and traditional Japanese restaurant situated on a tranquil hill in Tomio, a suburb in western Nara City. Located within approximately 3.3ha of Japanese gardens are 10 beautiful sukiya-style house from the early Showa Era, and visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers that change with the seasons, such as cherry blossoms, azaleas, autumn leaves, camellias and plum blossoms. Hyakurakuso is dedicated to offering an elegant, memorable and once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with elegantly spacious Japanese gardens and flavorfully authentic Japanese cuisine.

Key Points :

Groups can exclusively rent out one of the houses scattered around the garden, allowing guests to leisurely enjoy their meals. Depending on the number of people and occasion, guests can choose from various options such as the Koran (up to 40 seats), the Nadeshiko (up to 14 seats), the Himeyuri (up to 8 seats with sunken-kotatsu seating), and the Satsuki (up to 10 seats), which is a thatched-roof home across a small bridge. They can accommodate 2 to 40 people, and Hyakurakuso is suitable for occasions such as receptions, anniversaries, family gatherings, dinners and weddings. The large Koran banquet hall boasts 90 square meters of space that can accommodate up to 40 people, and features luxurious designs on both the transoms and ceiling, creating a solemn atmosphere.

Surrounded by a Japanese garden, guests can enjoy authentic Japanese kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal ingredients. The gorgeous kaiseki dishes include an appetizer, a Hassun (appetizer served in a special dish), sashimi, steamed dishes, simmered dishes and grilled dishes, all served in carefully crafted tableware. Guests can feel the meticulous skills of the chefs in each and every dish. Hyakurakuso offers the Iga Beef Sukiyaki Kaiseki Course (8 dishes, ¥18,500), the Seasonal Kaiseki Course which uses an abundance of seasonal ingredients (¥16,500 or ¥22,000), and the Lunchtime Kaiseki Course (¥7,700 on weekdays, ¥10,450 or ¥14,850 on weekends).
