The backdrop of Shisen Chinese restaurant is a gorgeous Japanese garden, which creates a comfortable eating environment and is best viewed in the evening. Shisen offers a wide array of seating for all manner of occasions, from tables for relaxed dining to counter seating for more casual, a la carte dining or a few drinks. Recommended dishes are Mabo Tofu (braised tofu with minced meat, chilli beans and Shisen peppers, ¥3,200), as well as Soup Noodles with Spicy Pork and Shisen’s famous Tan Tan Men (¥1,780). A set lunch menu is available for ¥2,400 and includes a choice from four main dishes, Mabo Tofu, an appetizer, soup, rice and Chinese pickles.
