Concept :KATSUKICHI is a long-established tonkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant founded about 60 years ago. The liberal use of wood, including aged pillars and beams and thick tables of solid zelkova, and various antiques creates an atmosphere of an old Japanese home. They have a collection of antique Imari lacquerware sobachoko (cups for soba dipping sauce). A shelf at the Hibiya branch was made using the wooden water pipes that supplied water to Edo Castle (Imperial Palace) during the Edo Period.
Key Points :KATSUKICHI chefs pick out the highest-quality pork every day, choosing from various domestic brands. They deep-fry the breaded cutlets slowly and at low temperature to bring out the full flavor in the light and crispy tonkatsu. Tonkatsu dish is served with delicious farm-to-table vegetables, tasty shiso rice and miso soup, all of which are chemical-free, allowing the true flavors to shine.
