Concept :

Japanese kappa cuisine-te intricate, formal multi-course meals at the pinnacle of haute Japanese cooking- into a surprisingly relaxed and accessible setting. The dishes are gorgeously plated on handmade Japanese stoneware and flow like parts of a symphony. Despite the clean, elegant cooking, there’s great energy to the place- from it’s breezy service and jazz soundtrack to the furious (but silent) rush in the open kitchen. It’s in the name, the food, the design, the service and even (roll your eyes if you must) the soul of the place. Anyone enamoured of Japanese culture will savour the rules, the idiosyncrasies, and recognise they’re all bound up with what makes GRAN a very exciting place to eat.

Key Points :

It's minimalist decor and a tight squeeze, yet the vibe is super convivial.
And though the name suggests a relaxed and casual setting, Gran offers the finest quality food, beverages and service. Dine in for a pleasingly jarring dining experience, grab a seat at the bar for a sake or wine, sharing unique dishes created by the chef.
Gran also keeps a hidden private dining room perfect for corporate or wine dinners, birthday’s & celebrations.

Recommended Dishes :

The omakase menu is a sensory feast, each course building up for the next crescendo. One of those “ahhh” moments? The sashimi platter, piled with buttery selections such as salmon, yellowtail and fatty tuna.
The selection of wine is eclectic. Strong focuses on organic, biodynamic and sustainable producers and varieties. Never tried sake? Gran will take you on a journey to all regions of Japan with the most elegant to the richest flavours sake has to offer. All of this, while the drink’s list have endless possibilities to suit all tastes and budget.
