Concept :
Located on a quiet side street lined with traditional Japanese houses, Calf is a restaurant specializing in serving Ohmi beef and selected Kyoto vegetables. The name of the restaurant is derived from 4 core principles: cordial, appetite, luxury and feast. Calf is driven by the idea that a restaurant needs to be “nurtured” by its guests for it to flourish, just like a calf needs to be raised by a nurturing mother for it to blossom into adulthood.Key Points :
From the counter seats, diners can enjoy their meal while watching the chefs perform their magic in the open kitchen. All dishes are served on Royal Copenhagen tableware with Christofle cutlery, and diners can enjoy the highest-ranked succulent beef that is packed with flavor. The interior is furnished with mahogany tables, comfortable chairs from Ritzwell and washi paper-paneled doors. Calf offers a cultural, unforgettable dining experience in total serenity.Recommended Dishes :
For lunch, wagyu beef hamburg steak (¥3,000) is recommended, while Ohmi beef special steak (¥20,000) is available at dinner. A wagyu beef fillet steak sandwich is only available for takeout (¥10,000, reservation required). Appetizers prepared with decadent ingredients, such as abalone, foie gras and caviar, are also highly recommended.*The prices are subject to change.
