コンセプト :Les gens, meaning “people” in French, aims to provide a relaxing environment where diners can relate to each other through their culinary experiences. Conveniently located near both Ebisu and Daikanyama stations, Les gens counts many locals, female office workers and Francophiles of every strip among its clientele. The layout allows for a generous amount of sunlight during the day, while the candle-lit dining room offers a warm evening setting. Michelin-star trained chef Inoue uses plenty of vegetables and other seasonal ingredients in his dishes, presenting healthy and delicious foods that are enhanced by, but not limited to, French cooking techniques. They are not afraid of fusion, using dashi and other umami flavors to best extract the natural taste of the ingredients. Les gens features a bar serving a wide selection of wine, Champagne, brandy and Japanese sake rotated monthly. Recommendations include charcoal grilled beef (1,450 yen) to go with sake. There is a 2,400 yen lunch course and a 4,300 yen course for dinner. Both come with an all-you-can-eat dessert created by the restaurant’s in-house patissier. Built in AV equipment makes it perfect to host events from birthday parties to wedding receptions.
