Specializing in vegetables grown throughout Japan, Yasaiya-Mei works closely with over 50 farms to select the freshest, most interesting and highest quality vegetables. Every month, staff and chefs go work with farmers in the field to learn about local culture, customs and recipes, then bring back their inspiration and incorporate it into new innovative dishes. The result is a constantly changing menu of beautiful and colorful dishes with exquisite presentation. You can particularly feel the Japanese seasons through the vegetables. The atmosphere, like the food, is modern Japanese with elegant decor and an open counter where you can watch the chefs prepare their masterpieces. Friendly English speaking staff and an English menu make Yasaiya-Mei a convenient choice. The most unique specialty dish is Vegetable Shabu-Shabu with choice of three delicious stocks for dipping. Available on its own, as a set, course or kaiseki, prices range from 2,800yen to 5,800yen.
