Concept :

Located near to Kamakura’s Yuigahama Beach, Yakiniku Marugyu, offers the best quality wagyu at a reasonable price. After opening in July 2014, Marugyu is a cozy and modest hideaway with seating for 10 that is beloved by the people in the neighborhood. Diners are able to enjoy delicious and carefully selected high-quality wagyu at nearly half of Tokyo prices.

Key Points :

Marugyu's meat master purchases only the finest cuts of beef and offers more than 18 kinds of wagyu, including Kobe and Japanese black beef. All of the side dishes such as the namul and kimchi are all made in-house, using the freshest Kamakura vegetables. Meat on the a la carte menu starts from 700yen and includes a wide variety of items such as kalbi and sirloin, as well as rare cuts.

Recommended Dishes :

The daily lunch set (1,500yen) includes three choice types of wagyu along with a generous amount of namul vegetables, soup and rice. The dinner course (5,000yen) offers great value for money and includes very rare cuts of Japanese black wagyu, namul, kimchi, salad and Korean beef and rice soup. The must-try-item is corned beef made with 100 percent wagyu for 300yen (takeout available for 1,200yen for 300g), which is only available at Marugyu. The restaurant offers sake, shochu and wine to complement the delicious beef.
