Concept :

Working Holiday Connection is an international café gaining notoriety for its fluffy and rich ricotta cheese pancakes and lunch plates. It’s conveniently located on the 2nd floor of a building across from Laforet Harajuku and runs under the concept of “A café connecting Japan to the world.” Bright and energetic staff, including those who came to Japan for study or working holidays and Japanese who are going abroad or have lived abroad. By offering a place to exchange information, they encourage people who want to be global citizens. Diners can enjoy a variety of international dishes and sweets, mainly from working holiday partner countries.

Key Points :

The signature dish is the Ricotta cheese pancake (¥1,300~), the main ingredients of which are ricotta cheese and eggs rather than flour, and the freshly made meringue that is freshly made for each order creates a fluffy texture that melts-in-the-mouth with a hint of egg flavor. This special original pancake recipe was developed by the chef who worked as the chief chef at a famous pancake restaurant in Sydney. Once diners taste them, they are sure to be addicted. They also offer berry, mango, matcha (green tea) and other seasonal pancakes.

Recommended Dishes :

The Bacon Egg Pancake is recommended for lunch, while international a la carte items such as Hawaiian Loco Moco Plate (¥1,350), Butter Chicken Curry (¥1,100) and Sautéed Chicken Plate (¥1,100) are also popular. Canadian Poutine (¥600), which is french fries with gravy and cheese is good when you are bit peckish. WHC serves café latte (¥550) using Artificer coffee and carefully selected milk and offers a variety of tea, including rooibos, earl grey, Dimbula and rosehip.

Every month, they hold various international exchange events and foreign culture events by countries such as Canada or New Zealand and many parties hosted by embassies and study abroad agencies. In addition to use of dining café, it is available to use as event space for private parties and seminars (microphone and projector available. Up to 100 people for cocktail parties). Course menus can be prepared for private parties from ¥4,000. Enjoy WHC’s signature pancakes and touch the world through communicating with international staff
