Concept :

Based on the idea of experiencing Japan’s four seasons with all five senses, SOSO lets diners enjoy Japan’s rich culinary treasures through traditional and healthy sweets and foods.

Key Points :

The minimalist design, extensive use of wood throughout and paper fans suspended from the ceiling give the restaurant a modern Japanese ambience. Lunch features rice and somen noodles from Shodojima, side dishes and a choice of dessert. The café and dinner menus allow guests to experience traditional Japanese culture through the tea ceremony set for just ¥1,100 that can be paired with a wide selection of wagashi sweets.

Recommended Dishes :

Dinner offers obanzai traditional Kyoto cuisine with a selection of five dishes. The a la carte menu features a dashi-flavored omelet with a choice of mentaiko cream, mushroom sauce or garlic clam butter (¥1,100), original potato salad with soft-boiled egg (¥980) and the kunafah (crispy vermicelli) croquette with crab (¥1,080). Courses start at ¥3,500 and require reservations, however a "Petit Kaiseki” course is available for walk-ins (¥2,730). The meal is completed with organic sake sangria with seasonal fruit and adzuki cocktails, as well as sparkling wines (¥900~/glass). SOSO is also proud to offer hassle free catering.
