Concept :There is nothing better than finding a cozy place with great food and drinks after a long and busy day in the city. Right in the heart of Tokyo, Shaji offers a getaway from the hectic streets with a decadent yet relaxing interior that is rare in the center of the city. The menu offers a new take on yakitori by combining it with French-inspired ingredients and sauces.
Key Points :Shaji aims to keep the food simple and rustic, placing an emphasis on promoting natural flavors. The sauces such as organic mustard, red wine and brown sugar, along with zesty lemon are different from those at traditional yakitori restaurants, but work wonders in bringing out the flavor of the meat. Coupled with a large selection of wine and an English-speaking sommelier on hand to help with food and drink pairings, guests are assured of an excellent dining experience.
Recommended Dishes :In addition to the French yakitori, Shaji offers a variety of delectable options, including rice with truffles (¥4,800 for two servings), fresh caviar and blini (¥2,800) and stewed foie gras (¥1,600). The "All Inclusive" course is available with a reservation and starts at ¥6,500. It includes caviar, yakitori, charcoal-grill dish and dessert.
