Concept :Located in the busy commercial district of Tokyo, Ocharaka has been offering an aromatic, educational and tranquil experience to customers from all walks of life and nationalities since 2005. As a shop selling an assortment of locally harvested tea leaves and in-house blends, Ocharaka is run by French tea expert, Stephane Danton, who has set out to educate Japanese and foreigners alike on a cup of nicely brewed tea, while customizing a unique tea experience for each individual.
Key Points :Equipped with a library of more than 100 kinds of tea leaves and distinctive blends containing flavors ranging from lemon and peach to cola and tangerine, Ocharaka, which sells Japanese tea leaves under their producers’ names, has made finding the tea product that best fits each customer its mission. Danton regularly runs short courses on tea selection and brewing for up to 10 customers with a day’s notice, as he seeks to turn a leisurely experience into one of discovery and satisfaction through education.
Recommended Dishes :Of all the varieties on offer, tangerine (¥918-¥994) is currently the best-seller, with choco-mint (¥918-¥940) being very popular among children and families. Sweet potato (¥918-¥940) and peach (¥918-¥994), on the other hand, have been the go-to blends among Thai and Chinese customers respectively.
