Concept :Situated in a tranquil area of Jiyugaoka, Kakitsubata is a calm and sophisticated kaiseki restaurant. The name refers to the Rabbit-ear iris, which serves as the concept of the restaurant.
Key Points :With 3 private rooms that can accommodate up to 12 people, the restaurant is the perfect place for business meetings, as well as anniversaries, family gatherings or everyday dining. With an extensive menu changing with the seasons, Kakitsubata ensures that guests will never be bored and will always come away amazed and satisfied.
Recommended Dishes :Kaiseki courses starting from ¥5,000 are available with reservations. Highly recommended is the Kakitsubara course (¥10,000, ¥15,000 and ¥20,000), that sees the chef preparing fresh, high-quality seasonal delicacies that are artfully presented, allowing diners to enjoy the most of their kaiseki experience, satisfying the eyes, as well as the palate. An additional recommendation is the suppon course (¥10,000~) that features Chinese soft-shelled turtle — a luxurious delicacy in Japan - served in a hot pot as the main dish. Kakitsubara also offers charcoal-grilled steak, tempura, sashimi and various a la carte selections that go perfectly with carefully selected sake, shochu and wine.
