Since it was first opened in late 2014 by chef Tetsuya Koshikawa, who has specialized in Roman cuisine for more than 15 years, Hostaria Casa Bella has consistently attracted Italian food lovers. Descending the stairs to the semi-basement space transports diners to a Roman trattoria. The beautifully painted fresco ceilings and walls, complemented by warm lighting, give the space an intimate and comfortable feel.

Key Points :

Chef Koshikawa is rightfully proud of his carbonara, which he has devoted himself to creating with perfect eggs. The restaurant offers diners a chance to discover new facets of Italian cuisine with such dishes as the trippa alla romana (Roman-style tripe), which once tried is never forgotten, even by those who do not normally like tripe. Highly selective, the chef carefully chooses the freshest and highest-quality honeycomb tripe that is slowly stewed in a tomato sauce perfectly balanced in sweetness and tanginess.

Recommended Dishes :

A la carte options include the trippa alla romana (￥1,510), the Casa Bella signature spaghetti alla carbonara (￥1,940) and the insalata (salad) Casa Bella (￥1,300). Course menus are available for lunch (￥3,780~) and dinner (￥5,180~), and Italian beer, more than a dozen red, white and sparkling wines are available as are several digestifs.
