Concept :

Dum Viva is a hideaway wine bar opened in 2007 in a quiet residential area of Ebisu, and a sister outlet of Wine Bar Mayu in Shibuya. Dum Viva means “enjoy your life while you live” in Latin and the chef works to help diners do that by creating original and delicious Italian dishes using carefully selected seasonal ingredients. The food goes well with wine and includes grilled items served with original sauces perfectly complementing the food, salads made with agrochemical-reduced vegetables and imported items from Europe. Dum Viva has more than 300 kinds of wines from 10 countries and a sommelier to guide diners with a choice from the 1,000-bottle cellar. A quaint private room for four to six people is available. The counter seating allows diners to observe the chef’s culinary skills and the floor-to-ceiling wine cellar, while the dining area can be reserved for private parties of up to 40 people. The must-try item is a charcoal-grilled, thick-cut Hokkaido beef rump steak (200g: 2,700, 300g: 4,000, 400g: 5,300). The chef’s recommendation course at 3,800 includes appetizer, pasta, charcoal grilled farm-fresh fish, steak and dessert. For parties of four or more, there is a course menu, including all-you-can-drink from 5,000 (from Mon. to Thurs.). 5 minutes from Ebisu station, west exit, Dum Viva is the perfect place for delicious Italian cuisine and wine.
