DIN TAI FUNG – Tokyo Yaesu

DIN TAI FUNG is a popular Taiwanese dim sum restaurant chain that was named as one of the top-10 restaurants in the world by the New York Times. The first overseas branch opened in 1996 in Shinjuku and created a "xiaolongbao" boom in Japan. DIN TAI FUNG has 17 branches in Japan and is a global brand with 110 branches in 10 countries.
Key Points:
One word - xiaolongbao - is all guests need at this branch of Taipei's most-esteemed dumpling house. To best enjoy juicy pork "soup" dumplings that come served in bamboo steamers, guests should carefully scoop one onto a spoon, sprinkle a drop of vinegar soy sauce and some shredded ginger on top, poke a hole in it, slurp out the broth and eat the rest.
