Now that Tokyo is firmly established as an international cultural hub it should come as no surprise that Sofia, the only restaurant in Japan offering authentic Bulgarian cuisine, is right at home among a variety of fine dining options in the famed metropolis. Taking its name from the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia is produced by Dom Pierre, an experienced expert in the art of high-end French cuisine. Only at Sofia can one find Kavarma and Shopska prepared in the true culinary style native to Bulgaria. Although the restaurant offers authentic Bulgarian cuisine as its staple, the menu also features an incredible mix of Italian and French dishes that are uniquely suited to those with inter-continental tastes. But in order to truly enjoy the unique atmosphere of the restaurant, the chef suggests one of the course dinners. Course dinners are available ranging in price from 3,500 (the latter being the chef's recommended course). If you're in a more festive mood, the Party Menu (4,000 per person) is perfect for more than four people (please note that you need to book at least two days in advance). An all-you-can-drink course is also available (1,500 for 90 min). It is two minutes from the Meijiya exit at Kyobashi Station on the Ginza Line, and three minutes from the Yaesu exit at Tokyo station.
