One of the hottest restaurants in Roppongi Hills is Rigoletto Bar and Grill. The concept is simple: small, tapas dishes at the very reasonable price of \500, plus a la carte, ranging from ￥1,000 to ￥1,800. The enticing tapas menu includes Sicilian olives, ceviche of mackerel, ajillo of shrimp, fritto of squid, flamenca egg, grilled Japanese pork sausage and many more. The array of hand-made pasta, which could best be described as Spanish-Italian fusion, boasts such mouth-watering delights as steamed breast of chicken with soy milk cream sauce; original ham and Japanese leeks, assorted mushrooms and bacon or the shrimp with tomato cream sauce. And of course, no meal would be complete without dessert–shortcake, tiramisu, chocolate cassata with pistachio ice cream and very berry cheese cake. With 180 seats and occupying 553 square meters, Rigoletto is great for parties and groups. You can ask for a table right in front of the busy kitchen or a private room with a great view of Tokyo Tower. A 13-meter-long standing bar counter in a separate area is perfect for a predinner drink. Try Apple Mint Ginger, the popular Sicilian Splash (blood orange, mango sherbet with sparkling wine) or the Kitty Honey. The wine bottle prices start at ￥2,500 (good quality, good price), and they all come mainly from Italy. With its super-friendly staff, Rigoletto is definitely one place you’ll be visiting again and again.
